PC Loan

1. Register at the counter before using the PC.

2. Student is allowed to use it for ONE HOUR.
Overdue usage will be charged at $0.10 PER HOUR.

3. Push in the chair after using the PC.

4. No surfing of illegal or pornographic websites.

5. No playing of computer games.

6. Printing services are available. Payment using the Photocopy Card. Please flip over to see the procedures.

7. Students are advised to save working files on their thumb/flash drives as any working files or installed program will be deleted.

8. Disciplinary action will be taken against students who violate these rules.

Laptop Loan

1. Laptops will be loaned out from 9 am, from the library counter.

2. Students are to surrender their ez-link card & leave their contact number with the counter staff, when borrowing the laptop.

3. Students are to return the laptop by 4.30 pm. Last issue will be at 2 pm.

4. Laptops are only allowed to be used within the college. Students are not allowed to bring them out of the college premises.

5. When fully charged, the battery will last for about 2 hours. If necessary, students are to charge the laptop themselves, using the charging unit issued.

6. Students can surf the internet at the hotspot areas around the campus
(See attached map).

7. Students are to save working files on their thumb/flash drives as any working files saved in the laptop will be automatically deleted when it is shut down.

8. Surfing of objectionable/pornographic sites is a serious offence.

9. As the laptops are meant to support students who need to work on assignments and projects, using them to play computer games and downloading of music/video files for recreational use is considered misuse of resources.

10. Disciplinary action will be taken against students who violate the rules and they will also be permanently barred from borrowing laptops from the library.

COMPONENTS & ACCESSORIES (LAPTOP)

NOTE: The components and accessories listed below should be present as part of a complete set. The user is responsible for a complete set.


Detachable components on the notebook :-

Accessories in the notebook bag (with sling) :-
1) Battery Charger
(2 parts – AC adapter and 3 pin power cord)
2) USB Optical Mouse
3) Security Lock

Borrowers shall accept responsibility for the care and safe keeping of the laptop, its components and accessories (listed above) as well as the laptop bag (with sling) loaned.

Any damaged / lost items have to be made good with a brand new replacement of the same brand and specifications.
