Welcome to the TPJC Modern Dance Website

The Tampines Junior College (TPJC) Modern Dance Club was created in 1997 to provide an avenue for students who wish to express themselves through dance. Since its inception, the Club has grown in membership as well as increased its participation in various College activities such as Chinese New year concert, Teachers' Day concert and the annual Track and Field Meet cheerleading. With the help of a qualified instructor, the Club members have grown in ability. In 2003, the Modern Dance Club took part in the Singapore Youth Festival for the first time and proudly secured a silver award. The dance club members also get to participate in various dance workshops throughout the year.

Last year, Danceworks! took our dance members on another exciting ride. Our feisty cheer, creative montage and energetic dance all screamed with the anti-drug abuse theme.

The dance club members took on new roles as cheerleaders for this annual event. The group displayed athletic strength and flexibility with their high spirited and dynamic routine. It was truly an impressive act.

2005 Teachers' Day Performance

The dance club members had a great time entertaining the teachers with their performance. This was the first performance that involved solely JC 1s. Two thumbs up!

2004 was indeed a memorable year for the Modern Dance Club. We hope to grow in strength and pursue greater heights.

2006 Orientation Night

The Dance Club performed at this year's Orientation Night. Dressed to impress, they whipped out killer moves that blew the crowd away.
